Panattoni joins the European Sustainable Business Network

Panattoni, the largest developer of warehouse and industrial spaces in Europe, has joined the European Sustainable Business Network. The organization associates companies that follow the principles of sustainable development in their activities. Panattoni’s presence in ESBN will help build greater awareness around ESG-related topics, driving the green revolution in business further and at a faster pace.

Panattoni has joined the group of companies guided by ESG principles understanding all the responsibilities this entails. The developer has been actively pursuing a pro-ecological strategy for a long time now, leading the way in green changes within the warehouse market.

– “Our ESG activities take into account all its pillars: environment, society and corporate governance. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and EU goals, we also strive to achieve zero emissions and support our clients in this transition. Membershim within the ESBN will allow us to share our knowledge with others, but also use the best experiences of other members. We still have a long way to go before Europe becomes climate neutral, “says Emilia Dębowska, Sustainability Director at Panattoni.

Panattoni has been operating in Poland since 2005, and currently has offices in 14 European countries and India. The developer focuses on sustainable construction and the circular economy, effectively reducing resource consumption and CO2 emissions on the way to achieving climate neutrality. They were one of the first to introduce the BREEAM environmental certification of facilities to the standard of their projects, first at the “Very Good” level, and since last year – “Excellent”. Out of nearly 15 million sq m of built space, 8 million sq m has been certified, 6 million of which in Poland. The first project in the country to obtain the Excellent level was one of the Panattoni Park Sosnowiec I buildings. This level of certification was also awarded to the largest industrial project delivered in Poland in 2021 – BTS Świebodzin with an area of 200,000 sq m. – becoming the most ecological facility in the country (now it has been dethroned by another Panattoni investment in Nadarzyn).

– “We are very pleased that Panattoni has made the decision to join the ESBN. Our aim is for this step to become the foundation for developing our relationship further towards the joint mission of building new standards of business based on sustainable development models, “says Mirosław Kaznowski, President of the European Sustainable Business Network.

The European Sustainable Business Network brings together companies that have taken specific measures to promote the pro-ecological transformation of the business world. The fundamental principle followed by our partners is to adapt to the requirements of sustainable development and to take steps to reduce the carbon footprint. For this purpose, they use exemplary design examples, innovative technologies and modern methods of planning and organizing work based on the ESG strategy.
