ESBN – A new networking platform for sustainable development

WARSAW, POLAND (March 8, 2022) – Green Media Solutions, the owner of  Green Europe Today, has launched a new networking platform called ESBN (European Sustainable Business Network). The aim of the initiative is to support businesses that have adopted an ESG strategy as their way of achieving the overarching goal of climate neutrality. ESBN is addressed to companies from various industries and sectors that share the common goal of minimizing the impact of their activities on the environment. Patrons of the initiative include: Immofinanz, 7R, Drawbridge law firm and Live Stream Studio.

– There are many advantages to being a member of the ESBN. The companies that join us share their experience and good practices on the way to achieving goals in the field of ESG strategy. Each of them has its own unique features, each of them sets a different path to achieve this goal. The exchange of knowledge in this area will certainly be very inspiring. Membership in ESBN also plays an important role as an incentive to undertake specific related commitments and activities. We observe great interest in our initiative – it is a sign that companies are aware of the importance of this issue and are ready to take up the challenge of green transformation  – says Mirosław Kaznowski, Executive Director of Operations w Green Media Solutions, the company that is managing the new project.

Joining the ESBN network opens up new opportunities for companies. This includes on-going access to the latest information on environmentally friendly initiatives in business, a source of knowledge about innovative solutions and access to channels enabling communication of pro-environmental initiatives undertaken by the company, which is of key importance in the context of the company’s image and its competitiveness. The condition for joining the initiative is the applicant’s specific commitments for the climate, i.e. ESBN Climate Pledge. The form of the commitment may vary, but it must fit into the SMART formula and be measurable. Examples of targets are achieving a zero CO2 emissions balance by a set date or increasing the share of renewable energy by a certain percentage over a given period.

The research results are unambiguous – the negative influence of humans and our civilization on the climate is unquestionable. Business, especially on a large scale, has an extremely important role to play in this context. It should inspire positive changes and change trends. This is how we understand our mission. We want to promote environmentally friendly solutions in the commercial real estate sector and we believe that they will become a source of inspiration for others. Thanks to our ambitious strategy, we plan to become emission-free by 2040 throughout our value chain. We decided to cooperate with ESBN because issues related to environmental protection are a priority for our company – says Jarosław Retmaniak, Country Manager Finance & Support Poland, Immofinanz

– For years we have been providing our clients with certified, modern warehouse and production space. We implement innovative and environmentally friendly solutions on location because we believe that business should take responsibility for the environment in which it operates. Cooperation within the ESBN program is, above all, an opportunity for us sharing the best practices supporting the sustainable development of enterprises – says Tomasz Lubowiecki, founder and president of the board of 7R.

As part of the ESBN initiative, networking meetings called „Fridays for the climate ” will be organized, led by Kazimierz Krupa, a long-time editor-in-chief of Forbes Polska and Managing Director of Drawbridge Law Firm..

– Eco-transformation is a necessity. Without decisive and swift action, it will not be possible to achieve the climate goals set out in the Paris Agreement. It is a big challenge, but above all a huge responsibility. Initiatives such as ESBN are very much needed – business needs support, cooperation and exchange of experiences in this area. That is why we decided to become a strategic partner of this project, – – says Kazimierz Krupa.

The ESBN organization will enable its members to achieve business and social goals based on the ESG model, but also open access to a number of training courses, workshops and events that will help employees stay up to date with the latest knowledge, the latest trends, solutions and regulations in the field of sustainable development.

The first of the series of meetings will be held in March and April in a remote form in cooperation with Live Stream Studio.

– Driving sustainable development in business is an integral part of our operating strategy. That is why we partner with companies and organizations that understand the benefits of supplementing stationary meetings with streaming services – in order to reduce the carbon footprint of corporate events. We are very enthusiastic about cooperation under the ESBN organization” – says Michał Malinowski, Chief Commercial Officer managing Warsaw based Live Stream Studio.
